...As the
Nineties “rap-rock” scene rapidly grows stale, the Los Angeles based rock
band, DEEPDOWN, continue to go against the grain by bringing instrumental
ingenuity and lyrical substance back into popular music. Since the band’s
inception in the late Nineties, they have steadily turned the L.A. music
scene into their personal playground and have obtained the reputation as
one of the most energetic live performances in the area. Much like their
Los Angeles based predecessors, Jane’s Addiction or the Red Hot Chili
Peppers, DEEPDOWN evenly combine the captivating qualities of instrumental
expertise with an all-out emotional expression. This stand out quality has
enabled them to steadily expand their existing fanbase, as well as walk
away with first place in the Hard Rock Café Battle of the Bands
competition.
In addition to their tremendous local success, the
band also generated a significant buzz at both the SXSW Music Festival in
Austin, Texas and the NXNW Music Festival in Portland, Oregon. More
recently, DEEPDOWN signed a production deal with Chill Factor Music and Video
Productions and have officially released their debut album,
“Insideout”. Encompassing the full-range of the DEEPDOWN musical
experience, the album is a captivating collection of hit songs prepared as
only this unique band can do. The first single from the album, entitled
“Nothing’s Real” was released to an abundance of hard rock radio stations
and immediately began receiving ads throughout the United States. Further
contributing to their mainstream marketability, the band has also
completed a video for their song “Nothing’s Real” which effectively
displays elements of the band’s explosive live performance as well as the
emotional impact that they have on their growing fanbase. Upon its initial
release, it immediately debuted at #5 Rock/Alternative on the CVC Report,
and their radio single continues to be added to radio playlists across the
country.
With the widespread acceptance of their invigorating new
sound and their popularity continuing to grow in their local rock
community, DEEPDOWN are undoubtedly one of the most promising hard rock
bands of the new Millennium. Hitting all the bases with their professional
product and presentation, DEEPDOWN serve as the voice of the new
generation; and they have made it clear that there is something more to
say - The time has come to connect. It’s
time. |
